Thirty-five Years Ago Today

Dan and I were married in the Salt Lake temple! The photos are fading, but the commitment isn't! Has it been what we expected? Probably not. Would we change a few things if we could have a re-do? Probably so. We confess to being imperfect, but we keep improving!

Hurray for us! Hurray for bright and hopeful young love that becomes secure and accepting mature love. Hurray for marriage, for family, for our beloved sons, their wives, and for adorable grandchildren!

Congratulations to both of you. Carter (Becky's three yr old) saw our wedding picture and asked me who Grandpa was marrying in the picture. Hmmmmm.. apparently Grandma has changed more than Grandpa! I love your new blog site, and like I said in my e-mail, the Bonnie we all know and love is returning, slowly but surely. What a blessing!! I have always been a little in awe of you, even more so lately. Have a great week.

Congrats! I reminded Kimball yesterday but I'm not sure if he called. That is a great milestone! Hope you did something fun to celebrate if not it's never too late! Happy Anniversary :)

Wow, so many well-wishers, we are surprised, and happy! Cindy, Louise, Jessica, Michaela, Polly, McCall, and Ethan and Missy, we'll have a slice of pie in your honor!
I'm glad to see a couple of my Nauvoo friends again, I've lost your email addies, and still don't feel like being a Nauvoo poster.

Bonnie,

Just a shout out to say we love you and hope you are doing OK this week. I know you are still greeving and needing lots of extra hugs and prayers so I'm sending them your way. I just read on someone's blog (a fellow home school family) that they just lost their 3 year old boy. They found him out in the pond. I can't imagine their pain but it was another reminder to me of how fragile life is and how precious our time together is. So give Dan a big hug from us as well. :)

Will do, Jessica. I trust Heavenly Father knows what He is doing, but it hurts to think of all the families (and now there's a new one) who have to go through the horrible pain of losing a child! It's a test of faith like no other I've ever had. But thanks be to God, I am passing the test. For awhile there, I wasn't sure I could. But now, I've learned that I can.
Just know this, I LOVE people more than I ever have before. Even democrats!

Best wishes, somehow I must have missed this post, so I apologize the belated well wishes. What a cute little bride you were!

Just you wait, Amy, I will look like that again some day! Only better. And when you look at me, I'll be looking back at you!

I needed that. I literally laughed out loud and I'm still smiling.

Glad you caught it, Michaela. She's right, y'all, it was meant as a joke.
